MARKET INTELLIGENCE MANAGER
Our client, operating in the Eastern African region, aspires to provide affordable, customer superior, entertainment experience and has a fresh range of innovative products and services targeting the modern African consumer. In achieving this, research department is the ‘customer champion’ within this organization. Through market research, the department supports and influences product development, product sales and distribution and marketing activities including brand evaluation and advertising sales. To this end our client is looking to recruit a Market Intelligence Manager to provide strategic leadership for this function.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Devising and executing a productive and appropriate research strategy
2. Tracking and analysis of our performance: both products and services
3. Devising and implementing a research methodology to measure and track target market val-ues, needs and attitudes and behavior
4. Analyzing trends and compiling market overviews, competitor analysis and local market in-sights
5. Supporting the various aspects of the business, including:
Product development, pricing and packaging and sales
Marketing planning and campaign evaluation
Presentations to advertisers and sponsors
6. Engaging internal and external stakeholders in regular meetings and ad hoc presentation
7. Management of external research companies and operational
8. Management and operational reporting to inform planning and decision making
REQUIREMENTS
1. First degree in a business or quantitative subject; statistics training would be essential.
2. At least five (5) years experience in research: television or media research would be a definite advantage
3. Exposure and interest in innovative research methodologies
4. Experience of managing service providers such as research organizations
5. Proven experience of making winning presentations
