Kenya Freedom from Hunger Council is a national non-governmental organization involved in community based food security projects created by an Act of Parliament and registered under societies rule 1968 (Rule 5), is looking for Project Coordinator to be in charge of the implementation of an integrated activities in 3 villages of Njoro Districts.
The successful officer will be in charge of organization activities mainly: -
Duties and responsibilities
Make monthly implementation plans for activities in the target area
Organize the formation of community committees to be in charge of activities
Smooth implementation of water based activities
Identify projects for exchange visits
Help farmers to form cooperatives to market farm produce
Plan training activities of different sectors of the project
Organize groups for afforestation programs
Facilitate groups and individuals farmers to carry out soil and water conservations activities
Facilitate the formation of community management committees
Compile monthly reports for the head office
Work closely and in partnership with government departments
Academic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Community Development, Agriculture, Agri-business, Environmental Sciences, Forestry or Higher Diploma in any of the related fields.
Work Experience
3 years working with non- governmental organizations in areas of food security.
