- Bachelor’s degree in business management or hospitality management or Diploma in Hospitality Management
Industry Experience
- At least 7 years’ hotel work experience, 3 years in a managerial position
- Experience should be well rounded and may include accounting, hotel administration, marketing, housekeeping, food service management, and hotel maintenance, as well as knowledge of computers and specific hotel-related software.
- Deliver excellent customer service, at all times, ensuring guests’ comfort and safety
- Deal with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail
- Recruiting, training and supervising staff
- Managing budgets
- Maintaining statistical and financial records
- Planning maintenance work, events and room bookings
- Promoting and marketing the business
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and licensing laws
- Deal with customer complaints in a professional manner
- Provide reports, as required, for hotel management
- Complete all required health and safety/fire checks on time
- Be responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact for the team, guests and the emergency services
- Always adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws
