Financial Controller job in Mombasa County

Our client is one of the well-known leaders in manufacturing, distribution and export of Vegetable Oils, Soaps and Fats.  

They are seeking a talented, self motivated, proactive and skilled individual of high personal integrity to fill the following position:
 

Job Title: Financial Controller, Mombasa
 

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer ( CFO)
 

Job Purpose: Provide leadership and management of Finance Department which is entrusted with all aspects of Company financial management and control aspects.
 

Responsibilities:

• Supervision of Finance Department staff
• Manage all aspects of manufacturing accounting and inventory control
• Preparation of periodic management and statutory financials
• In charge of budgeting, budgetary control and forecasting process
• Coordinate both interim and annual audits with company auditors
• Actively manage company cash flow on daily basis and generate relevant cash flow projections and forecasting
• Identify,  Analyze and measure foreign currency exposures and recommend mitigation procedures/actions to management
• Manage and/Monitor all aspects company accounts receivable/payable
• Manage timely computation, payment and submission of all statutory deductions while ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Perform timely pre and post implementation review of various projects and offer relevant financial advice/support to commercial teams on various business proposal evaluations.

Requirements

• A degree in Business related studies; Masters will be an added advantage. 
• Experience in an ERP especially Oracle or SAP will be preferred
• Fully qualified accountant – CPA(K)/ACCA
• Sound hands on experience in a manufacturing concern with at least eight  (8) years experience; including (3) years in supervisory role covering the key accountabilities above.
• Experience in Oracle operating environment will be a major added advantage.
• Highly energetic, eager to learn and with special attention to detail.
