Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing an operating budget for each of the department’s revenue; after approval, monitors and takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained
- Helping plan and approve the organizational chart, staffing and scheduling procedures and job description/specifications for all department staff
- Ensuring health and safety standards and liquor regulations are upheld by staff and customers
- Monitoring purchasing and receiving procedures for products and supplies to ensure proper quantity, quality and price for all purchases
- Maintaining appearance, upkeep and cleanliness of all equipment and facilities
- Addressing members and customer complaints and advises the General Manager about appropriate corrective actions taken
- Monitoring employees dress codes according to policies and procedures
- Ensuring effective orientation and training of new staff and experienced staff are planned and implemented
- Monitoring cash payments at the cashier to avoid any cases of theft, imbalances
- Researching of new products by bringing in new ideas to improve the sales of the restaurant
- Ensuring an accurate reservation system is in place
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelors degree preferably in Hospitality Management /Food and Nutrition.
- Minimum working experience of 2 year with previous supervisory an added advantage
- Knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, safety and security
- Good people management skills, communication and listening skills. Must be flexible and adaptable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
