Duties
- To collect information about price, product and competitor activity in the field
- Interpret the same info to executable information.
- Deliver quality market intelligence for the organization.
- Supporting research on consumer behavior in the market
- Delivering a program of business opportunity reports around key accounts
- Researching externally within the market as well as internally with our customer base.
- Consult and advise on how we meet current needs as well as take advantage of new market developments.
- Build and develop a broad set of external relationships plus internal teams from the Board down to Development, Sales, Market Delivery and demonstrating your understanding and credibility with all.
Technical Attributes
- Graduate in commerce or economics
- Two years or more experience in the same or related research element.
- An awareness of strategic assessment frameworks in FMCG environment.
- Ability to think and laterally about projects when the obvious approach is not working.
- Strong logical thinking attributes in ambiguous situations.
- Good Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills. Preferably familiar with excel
- Good command of English language and grammar, with attention to detail and proof-reading skills.
- A strong general interest in world economic and political current affairs would be an advantage.
- Preferably knowledge of statistics for excel, SPSS or another analytical package would be a bonus.
