Tullow Kenya BV is seeking to appoint the following position:
 
Job Title: Local Deployment Manager
 
Reports to: Finance Manager, Kenya
 


Job Purpose:
  • To successfully coordinate, manage and deliver the local activities requirement to make the Pathway Programme a success in Location/ for a Business Unit.
  • Ensure the Location/ Business Unit is operationally ready for SAP, the new Target Operating Model for Supply Chain and Finance as well as other associated Pathway Projects.
  • Prepare the Location/ Business Unit for locally owned, sustainable change.
  • By understanding the culture and values of Tullow, ensure Programme implementation needs are balanced against unnecessary impact on our operations and people.
  • Coordinate activities of the Local Programme Network (including Local Data Leads, Super Users, Trainers, Testers)
  • Coordinate activities of other dependent teams (including local IS, HR, Internal Communications)
  • Work with Central Programme Deployment Manager and team leads (Programme Network Coordinator, Test Lead, Data Lead, Cutover Lead, Support Team Lead)
  • Assist local Pathway Sponsors, Functional Leadership and HR to fully consider the impact on the organisational structure, roles and the behavioural change needed to ensure not only successful implementation, but sustainable change
Responsibilities /Key Objectives:
  •  Work collaboratively with the appropriate local and central teams and stakeholders on developing and delivering the local Operational Readiness Plan and Sustainability Approach
  • Lead the Local Programme Network Team in their Programme activities including Operational Readiness Assessments, Role Mapping Workshops, Launch Event and Town Halls, UAT, Train the Trainer
  • Own and drive the local Operational Readiness Plan and Deployment Plan
  • Manage local risks/ issues
  • Engage stakeholders in the impact of the change and align project plans with the ability of the business to accept the change successfully
  • Responsible for local coordination and completion of core deliverables including Role Mapping, Data Cleanse, IS Readiness, Training Attendance
  • Work with the central Programme Teams to localise or coordinate the localisation of key deliverables e.g. Comms Plan, Training Context, Local Change Impact Mitigation, Engagement Events, Status Meetings, Post Go Live Strategies
  • Assess, measure, track and monitor the progress of the local change and manage engagement of the business and stakeholders throughout
  • Ensure consistency of project and change delivery methodology and communication channels across the Programme with the wider Pathway and Tullow Group approaches.
Experience and Education:
  • Tullow employee with good local business knowledge and key stakeholder relationships preferred
  • Project Management and Change Management experience of business change projects preferred, particularly relating to Deployment and Handover Readiness
  • Experience working with third party service providers preferred
  • Exposure to an Oil and Gas operating environment preferred
  • Experience of Requisition to Pay, Materials and Logistics and Finance processes preferred
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management
  • Experience working with HR on resource demand, people management and organisational change preferred
  • Project Management
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of Tullow business processes
