Nature and Scope
Reporting to the Manager, Pension Administration the jobholder is responsible for the accounting and finance related function of all lines of pension business which include group pensions, individual pension policies and Umbrella pension policies (both Guaranteed and Managed) by ensuring that overall pension administration is properly done in accordance with the company standards and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities 
  • Ensures efficient service delivery in terms of contributions update, preparation of the Scheme quarterly accounts and Monthly valuation reports.
  • In consultation with the Scheme administrators, to liaise with the scheme Trustees in ensuring that audits are carried out in time
  • Implements credit control policies with regard to payment of pension contributions and administration fees
  • Apply for tax directives in line with the requirements of the Income Tax Act
  • Ensures statutory and regulatory compliance
  • Ensures Audit findings are addressed and closed within agreed timelines and the processes are embedded within pension administration
  • Performs any other duties assigned by the company
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience 
  • A degree from a recognized university
  • Professional qualification in Accounting – e.g. CPA, ACCA will be an added advantage
  • A good understanding of the Pension industry and overall financial markets
  • Excellent computer knowledge and thorough understanding of Pension Administration Systems
