Summary:
 

Our client started 17 years ago as a Design Studio and has grown over years to incorporate current trends in digital technology and communication with an approximate staff number of 50 at present. 

The Company is ranked in the top 100 medium size Companies in Kenya and has received several awards including this year’s Top 100 Best Company Awards.

Job Purpose:
 

To translate ideas/briefs to produce design solutions to communicate client messages of more than one design brief through high visual impact within the agreed parameters

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supporting the needs of the marketing and sales teams to ensure deliverables are on-brand
• Evolving and updating existing packaging designs, brochures, and other deliverables as needed
• Carrying out concurrent projects from beginning to end, following timelines and ensuring deadlines are met
• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
• Plans concept by studying information and materials.
• Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
• Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
• Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; purchasing from vendors.
• Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.
• Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Experience:
 

2 years and above

Skills and Certification:

• Certificate or Diploma in Graphic Design with Adobe suite or coral draw skills a plus
• Good visual acuity
• Eye for detail
• Fast and efficient
• Depth perception
• Ability to meet deadlines and competent in coral draw skill advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent layout Skills
• Creative Services
