Job Description
The Sales and Business Development Executive will be responsible for helping to grow WindGen by generating and implementing WindGen’s client-facing strategies.
Fulfillment of this objective will involve identifying potential markets, building relationships with relevant partners, generating sales leads, developing marketing strategies, recruiting and managing sales agents, and designing renewable energy systems.
This position will require a high level of initiative-taking and the capacity to create productive opportunities in a dynamic and flexible small-company environment.
The right candidate will be someone with the potential to advance quickly within the company and will play a major role in the growth and development of our business.
Roles and Responsibilities
Partner Relationships and Sales Channel Development:
Our products and services have a broad range of end-users and an even broader range of sales channels through which to reach them.
Building relationships with relevant parties in tourism, education, health, agriculture, energy and various other sectors is crucial to our success, and the Sales and Business Development Executive will be responsible for building such relationships.
Sales Lead Generation:
The Sales and Business Development Executive will be responsible for generating leads for sales throughout all of WindGen’s customer segments.
System Design and Deal Closing:
Selling WindGen systems requires a thorough understanding of how to design renewable energy systems based on customer needs and site considerations.
WindGen will provide the necessary training to enable the Sales and Business Development Executive to understand this process, but it is imperative that the Sales and Business Development Executive has some level of quantitative competency and is willing and eager to learn these skills.
Once armed with these abilities, the Sales and Business Development Executive will be expected to be actively involved in designing systems, generating quotations, and closing sales of all shapes in sizes throughout the entire country (and, to a lesser extend, region).
Pre- and Post-Sale Customer Management:
The Sales and Business Development Executive will have direct contact with WindGen customers throughout the sales process, and will therefore be responsible for managing WindGen’s relationship with that customer before and after actually making the sale.

Our best advocates are our existing customers who already own WindGen systems, and it is important to our company to effectively manage customer relationships after the sale.
Marketing Strategy Creation and Implementation:
The Sales and Business Development Executive will be responsible for more than just pursuing sales – we also require this person to proactively generate strategies for reaching new customers and new markets and to be intimately involved in all of the marketing decisions of our company.
This is a role for an initiative-taker who has some level of experience with marketing.

Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate for the Sales and Business Development Executive position will be:
- Experienced with sales, marketing, and business development, preferably with a company dealing in technical products (although that is not mandatory).
- Willing and eager to learn the nitty-gritty details of renewable energy system design.
- Excited about the prospect of working in small company environment and having the chance to be part of the company’s continued growth and success (with ample opportunities for advancement).
- An excellent communicator who can interact effectively with a broad range of partners and customers: from high level managers at large international organizations to small homeowner customers.
- Able to take initiative, create opportunities, and excel in an environment with limited oversight. We are looking for a leader.
- Technical background is a plus (particularly in water pumping and wind/solar energy), but is not required. Some level of technical capacity is important, however, and a willingness to learn is crucial.
