SAFARI PARK HOTEL ASSISTANT BANQUETING AND CONFERENCES COORDINATOR JOB IN KENYA

Safari Park Hotel, a leading five star hotel situated in Nairobi and serving the top notch of the Hospitality sector seeks to employ a suitable Kenyan Citizen with the right attributes to fill the above position.

Reporting to the Banqueting Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for;

Overall event management co-ordination including weddings and outside catering functions.
Close co-ordination with the Sales Executives to ensure banqueting functions go on smoothly.
Assisting in preparing and compiling event orders and banquet forecasts.

Promoting/marketing the hotel conferencing and event services all over Kenya and abroad.
Supervision of all banqueting staff during functions and events.
Advising and assisting clients in décor set up and arrangement.
The position is challenging and calls for a dynamic, confident, aggressive and forward thinking person with the following attributes;

Aged over 25-35 years.
A University Degree in the relevant field is preferred.
Have not less than five (5) years experience, 3 of which must be in a similar position in a busy five star hotel.
Knowledgeable in décor set up and arrangement.
Good written, oral communication skills and computer literate.
Ability to set the highest possible personal standards of performance within the F&B department.
Have a pleasant, outgoing personality and a flair for up-selling.
Computer literate and in possession of a valid driving licence.
