Position: Healthcare Training Manager

Description:
Nuru International Kenya is a reputable organization with a mission of ending extreme poverty among poor communities of rural Kenya. With programs in agriculture, education, microfinance, and water and sanitation, Nuru’s Healthcare Program aims to reduce under 5 mortality in a sustainable and scalable way.
We train Field Officers to conduct home visits to help families learn how to prevent diseases. We are looking for a Training Manager to fill the vacant position in Kuria West District and report to the Healthcare Program Leader.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate training for Field Officers using the Healthcare curriculum Officers on diseases, how to assess a household, how to find barriers to practicing healthy behaviors, how to advise the family how to change their behaviors, and how to use tracking and reference materials.
Assess trainees’ learning
Adapt curriculum based on needs
Organize trainings in future areas
Develop curriculum for refresher trainings
Qualifications:
Male or female aged 18 years and above
In possession of KCSE certificate with mean grade of C- and above
Kenyan citizen in possession of the National Identification Card
Fluent in both English and Kiswahili languages
Trained in facilitation and training techniques
At least 2 years training experience based on job description above
Experience working effectively in a team setting
