Sustainable Energy Markets for Africa (SEMA) is a four year project funded by the European Union and Hivos and implemented by Triodos Facet with local partners based in East Africa.
The project aims to facilitate linkages between rural financial institutions and energy entrepreneurs to enhance access to renewable energy by rural people, as well as facilitate access to capital and other forms of funding for loan portfolios to end users of renewable energy.
The Field Business Development Officer will be key in implementation, creating and managing the links between rural energy entrepreneurs and rural financial institutions, among other responsibilities.
The successful candidate, who will be remunerated competitively, will be a graduate of engineering or economics or a business discipline with relevant post-graduate qualifications and at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in facilitating or managing business development, preferably involving the renewable energy sector.The project aims to facilitate linkages between rural financial institutions and energy entrepreneurs to enhance access to renewable energy by rural people, as well as facilitate access to capital and other forms of funding for loan portfolios to end users of renewable energy.
