The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is an international non-profit, non-governmental organization that carries out policy relevant research on population, health, education and development issues facing sub-Saharan Africa. With a grant from Comic Relief, the Center is implementing a project in two Nairobi slums to assess the impact of strengthening public-private partnerships for the delivery of health care on the health of mothers, newborns and young children. The Center seeks to recruit a Research Officer with a Masters degree in a public health or related field.
The overall purpose of the job is to participate in the design and implementation of the Center’s health research projects. The Research Officer will also provide assistance in the implementation of monitoring, evaluation and learning strategies that help assess the extent to which projects are meeting its objectives and delivering intended outcomes.

Emergency project officers

JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of project officer’s position is to effectively implement Emergency project component activities. He/she ensures the proper implementation of UNOCHA funded livelihood based Children Nutrition Emergency project activities in Afdera and Berehale districts of Afar region, in collaboration with other VSF Germany staffs. He/she is also responsible for assisting the project manager in project designing, planning, budget preparation, reporting and so on.
