Introduction To M-KOPA
M-KOPA, winner of the 2013 FT/IFC Sustainable Finance Awards, is a registered
Kenyan business, founded in 2011 but stemming from pilot trials since 2009. The
founders of M-KOPA include former executives from Safaricom and Vodafone Group,
who also started and led M-PESA. These people form an integral part of M-KOPA
as a company.
M-KOPA’s head office is in Nairobi with a qualified
dedicated team of over 100 Kenyan and international staff, experienced and
seasoned in different fields like finance, distribution, sales and marketing
and customer care.

The Position

Product Support Engineer
Role:
Working as part of team to provide technical support and troubleshooting advice on M-KOPA’s solar products to Field Staff and Customer Care Staff. This role requires shift work, and work on weekends.Location

Responsibilities Include:
·
Provision
of technical assistance for customer issues brought to M-KOPA’s customer care
team.
·
Reporting
and management of operational and device based issues.
·
Testing
of products to replicate issues reported by customers.
Skills & Experience
·
Bachelor’s degree /relevant credentials in
technology, science, engineering, or electronics.
·
Experience
with MySQL an added advantage.
·
Knowledge
of hardware (embedded hardware) and firmware interaction is an added advantage
