Business Development Executive

Reports to the General Manager
This role entails planning and carrying out all sales activities on assigned accounts or areas; ensuring customer satisfaction and managing quality of product and service delivery approaching potential customers with the aim of winning new business and also selling to existing customers.
 
A description of the key responsibilities incumbent in this key post is provided below;
- Generate and qualify leads
 - Source and develop client referrals
 - Prepare sales action plans and strategies
 - Schedule sales activity
 - Develop and maintain a customer database
 - Develop and maintain sales and promotional materials
 - Plan and conduct direct marketing activities
 - Make sales calls to new and existing clients
 - Develop and make presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients
 - Negotiate with clients
 - Develop sales proposals
 - Present sales contracts
 - Conduct product training
 - Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports
 - Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
 - Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships
 - Follow up on sales activity
 - Perform quality checks on product and service delivery
 - Monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management
 - Conduct market research and surveys
 - Participate in sales events
 - Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development
 - Performing any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
 
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 
- Achieve the set sales targets
 - Actively maintain and co-ordinate the client database
 - Timely follow up on sales leads
 - Maintained sales activity records and sales reports
 - Active participation in all sales events
 - Meeting the weekly and monthly set deadlines for the reports.
 
Education:‘O’ level with a credit in English and Maths.
 
Professional Training: Bachelors’ degree or a diploma in sales and marketing.

Work Experience: Must have 2 years’ experience selling fast moving consumer goods.
