Business Development Manager

The Company:
An oil based company is seeking to recruit a self-driven and creative individual to fill the post of a business development manager.


Job Description:

Responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating the market and closing business relationships.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maximize contacts with new relationships and strengthening the existing ones.
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
  • Foster and develop positive customer relationships, which result in increased business. Understand customer needs and assist in the development of project solutions that satisfy those requirements
  • Plan approaches and pitches.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence for new projects and opportunities.
  • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new products, services and distribution channels
  • Drive peak performance and sales success across the organization
  • Create, negotiate and close commercial agreements
  • Ensure liaison with other departments as appropriate in relation to proposals, projects, legal, financing, tax, or other issues.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Come up with new business ideas or better ways of carrying out the business processes
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, products and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
Qualifications and Skills
  • Masters degree in Business Administration with a bachelors degree in business administration / management
  • Working experience of 7-8 years preferably with market knowledge in the oil sector and dealt with global clients
  • Exceptional customer awareness and sales skills in the business development and marketing aspects
  • Fully conversant in modern computer aided planning technologies and Operations Management processes.
  • A working knowledge of national and international copyright law is essential
  • Excellent Networking skills and all rounded individual.
