Following the recent oil discoveries in Kenya and increased level of exploration activity, there is a growing need to monitor the operations of International Oil Companies operating in Kenya.
The costs incurred under the exploration stage will in future be submitted to the Government for cost recovery. The monitoring and audit of operations of Oil & Gas Exploration companies is provided for in the Petroleum Exploration and Production Act CAP 308 of the Laws of Kenya schedule 1.4, subsections 1.4.1 through 1.4.4.
The main purpose of the audit is to carry out the exercise on behalf of the Government as set out in the Production Sharing Contracts and Petroleum Exploration and Production Act. The objectives of the audit would be among others, to examine and verify all charges and credits relating to the petroleum operations and records necessary to audit and verify the charges and credits.

National Oil Corporation of Kenya (National Oil) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible firms to carry out audit on the operations of selected Oil & Gas Exploration Companies; on behalf of the Government of Kenya.
