Newzealand and Slovak Government Scholarships 2013/2014
The Government of
Newzealand is offering two (2) full scholarships and the Government of
Slovak is offering four (4) partial scholarships to Kenyans for
postgraduate studies for the 2013/2014 academic year.

and Fisheries, Infrastructure and Utility, Economics, Environmental
studies, Health, Bio security and food safety, Human rights and Gender
2 Slovak Republic
Areas of study
Teacher training and
Education, Business and Administration, Construction engineering,
Agriculture, Veterinary medicine, Medical sciences, Pharmaceutical
sciences, Social and behavioural sciences, Ecological and Environmental
sciences, Manufacturing and communication, Forestry, Water resource
management, Dental surgery, on medical health science
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
Post Graduate
- Are serving the country in the public sector.
- Completed two (2) years of continuous public service since their last degree studies.
- Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of at least Upper Second class honors level for Masters.
- PhD applicants must have a relevant Master’s Degree.
- Are below 35 years for Masters and 45 years for PhD for Newzealand
- Are below 26 years of age for Slovak.
Condition
- Applicants should have acquired Acceptance letter to a University in Newzealand before interview date.

All eligible candidates must read and follow the following guidelines strictly
1. Obtain
preliminary application forms from the Ministry of Higher Education,
Science and Technology offices at Telposta Towers, 27th floor room 2702.

2. Completed
application forms with attached certified photocopies of ID,
academic/professional certificates, transcripts, Birth Certificate,
other testimonials and a proposal in the area of study should be sent to

3. The Preliminary application forms should reach the Ministry not later than 28th March, 2013
4. Only
shortlisted applicants (who shall be informed through e-mail /phone
call) shall be invited for interview. Nominated candidates will be
allowed to proceed with steps 6-8. Steps 6-8 are only applicable for
Slovak Government scholarships
5. Await an invitation for interview.
6. Access the Slovak Government conditions for scholarships by visiting website for more details on the scholarship: (http://www.vladnestipendia.sk)
7. Apply for the scholarship electronically (You are advised to use Internet Explorer 6.0 or 7.0) by following the link: http://www.minedu.sk or www.studying.sk (Register with a User name and password)
8. Submit one (1)
set of the hard copy of completed online application form through your
head of department to the Directorate of Higher Education on the address
indicated above.
NB: Preference for
the award of these scholarships will be given to teaching staff in our
public universities and university constituent colleges. Teaching staff
in these institutions are highly encouraged to apply
