The Kenya Scouts Association (KSA) is the leading Scouting presence in Africa and the largest youth movement in Kenya where it was established in 1910.

KSA wishes to invite applications for the following posts that will support the volunteer structure of the Association especially in the area of project management.
All posts are open to the current membership of KSA and any other professionals supporting the aims of Scouting.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide support to project facilitators in planning, implementing of activities in the project areas Coordinate with stakeholders, direct beneficiaries and project team for realization of project objectives.
Provide ongoing management; and financial oversight required by project
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reports and other relevant documents for field programs
Contribute to the development of a strategic plan, work plan and budget Manage the development of tools and procedures for project implementation; reporting; monitoring & evaluation; capacity assessment; impact assessment and share such tools and procedures with the rest of the staff.
Required qualifications and experience
University degree/ Diploma in development studies, social sciences or other related fields Experience in working with NGOs or a good understanding of community development is helpful. Strong written and verbal communication skills with relevant ICT skills
1 year minimum experience in project related areas.
Candidates with experience in Scouting will have an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Generate timely and accurate financial management reports on a consistent basis: weekly, monthly and quarterly reports forming the back bone of financial reports for the Management, Finance Committee and National Executive Committee.
Participate in project budget preparation Prepare bank accounts and cash book reconciliations Ensure timely payment of staff salaries, contractors and other expenditures
Verify supporting documents to ensure completeness before payments
Ensure accurate maintenance of all financial and accounting records and transactions
Exercise accounting control to ensure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed amounts authorized without proper approval.
Safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal checks and controls.
Manage accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/ billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting and cost accounting
Prepare all necessary information for internal or external audits
Required qualifications and experience:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA part 2) or Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum of 1 years’ relevant work experience in reputable organizations; experience working with a non-governmental organization will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of financial reporting systems in donor funded work
Excellent computer skills with hands on experience on computerized accounting systems Candidates with experience in Scouting will have an added advantage.

Reporting to the Commissioner, Partnerships & Project and the Partnerships Executive, the project officer will be responsible for the Catholic Relief Services/KSA project.Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Officer and the National Treasurer, the Accountant will have responsibility for the Association’s accounting practices, substantially dealing with the CRS project.Duties and Responsibilities:
