We are seeking Business Analysts for the Technology and general Services Department. The Business Analyst
provides leadership in the application of technology to achieve business outcomes. Persons in this position are
expected to understand business processes and how enabling technologies can be applied to achieve
business objectives. The Business Analyst has the ability to synthesize inputs from many sources, and to
bridge the relationship between business and technology units. Effective communication and interpersonal
skills are as important as technical skills in this internal consulting role.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
• Identifying opportunities to enhance business unit performance by utilizing knowledge of business
priorities, conducting business process analysis, and applying knowledge of technology tools and
applications.
• Developing the business case to convince business unit stakeholders to adopt new work practices and
technologies.
• Overseeing or conducting the collection, documentation, analysis and communication of business and
functional requirements, and ensuring understanding by technical team members.
• Working with business and technical teams to evaluate and select technical solutions, possibly
overseeing or participating in the development of prototypes or proofs of concept; conducting
presentations and facilitating discussions with users.
• Participating in the preparation of Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals for technology solutions.
• Overseeing or assisting in development of business case for change, including cost/benefit analysis
and risks and feasibility studies.
• Participating in the design, selection, testing, and implementation of solutions.
• Serve as subject matter expert.
• Coordinating the quality assurance and testing process.
• Assessing user training needs, participating in the development and review of user documentation,
and coordinating the development and delivery of user technical support and training.
• Reviewing or participating in the development of implementation plans for new applications and work
practices, including plans to manage transition to new work practices and applications.
• Monitoring and analyzing end user satisfaction with IT solutions and services.
• Marketing IT services to business units by: educating customers on the value of IT services and how
they meet business unit objectives; communicating technology strategies and plans; and promoting
understanding of IT roles, processes and activities.
Qualifications
Experience:
• Identifying, documenting and analyzing opportunities to improve business processes, and facilitating
business unit adoption of new processes.
• Gathering, analyzing, and documenting business objectives and functional requirements.
• Developing business architecture and designs.
• Supervising more junior staff or outsourced service providers.
• In-depth functional and/or technical experience in one of the following areas would be desirable:
• Human Resources/Payroll/Pension (PeopleSoft)
• Financial Accounting/Travel (PeopleSoft)
• Business Intelligence (Cognos)
• Banking Systems (Oracle Flexcube)
• Administrative Applications (MS SQL Server, ASP.NET, SharePoint)
Skills:
• Familiarity with a broad range of technologies supplemented by in-depth knowledge in specific areas

Job Summary
The System Administrator/Application Architect provides leadership in architecting and maintaining the
technical environment for the PeopleSoft Human Resources, Financials, CRM and other applications within the
Strategy and Architecture Group. Candidates for this position are expected to understand end to end processes
and how deploying an appropriate technological solution can be applied to achieve business objectives.

• Plan, oversee, architect, develop, and implement system operating policies. Develop procedures to
improve the performance and stability of the various application systems supported by the group,
including database systems.

• Be responsible for activities related to the maintenance of the integrity and continuity of operations of
the various applications supported on the Oracle platform.
• Working with business and technical teams, evaluate and select technical solutions, possibly

presentations and facilitate discussions with users.
• Participate in the preparation of Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals for technology
solutions.

Qualifications
Experience:
• Demonstrated experience developing and deploying complex technology architecture and
sophisticated systems, particularly COTS-based systems. Experience with integration of best-of-breed
solutions is particularly desirable.
• Demonstrated PeopleSoft Administration experience including installation, support, troubleshooting,
monitoring, optimization, application of bundles, service packs and patches, and application of
PeopleTools upgrades.
• Demonstrated experience in an Oracle environment, as a Database Administrator, Developer, or
integrator. Demonstrated experience with complex database management tasks.
• Experience with security, high-availability concept and technologies, SAN technology, UNIX shell
scripting, Windows OS, backup tools, monitoring tools.
• Demonstrated experience supporting systems in a 24x7 operational environment, in a high-pressure
environment still dedicated to high-quality results.
• Supervision of more junior staff or outsourced service providers is required. Experience with
international financial organizations and using performance-based global sourcing is desirable.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing the development of complex Human Capital Management
systems - experience with PeopleSoft HCM including North American Payroll and PeopleTools, Oracle,
integration with Microsoft technologies such as, .Net, XML, SharePoint, MS Office, use of service
oriented architecture, reporting (Crystal, SQR), and COTS packages is desirable.
• Use of industry best practices in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), IT methodologies, services
operations, ITIL (IT Information Library), change management, control and security standards, such as
ISO27001 is desirable.
Skills:
• PeopleTools 8. 4x or higher, PeopleSoft Financials 8. 9 or higher, Process Scheduler (UNIX and
Windows), Application Server (Tuxedo), Web Server (Weblogic), Application Designer, Data Mover,
Integration Broker, SQR, Crystal, Change Assistant, Phire change management tool, UNIX (AIX
preferred), Linux, shell-scripting and ORACLE SQL (10g/11g) , SQL tuning Preferred Skills: PeopleSoft
HCM 8.9 or higher, PeopleSoft Financials 8.9 higher, Knowledge of Tidal Scheduler.
• Several years of experience with Oracle database and tools.
• Requires a blend of skills including database system administration, network technology, Unix/Linux
and Windows server administration, high-availability SAN and clustering, vendor interaction for
problem identification and resolution, and understanding of advanced technology.
• Ability to quickly grasp how new technologies work and how they might be applied to achieve business
goals is essential to this position.
