A humanitarian organization based in the UK wishes to set up a regional office in Kenya to serve the East/Central and the Horn of Africa in her endevours to launch intervention programs in the region. They have therefore asked momentam through the NGO Council to assist in sourcing for staff as listed.

1. Regional Program Coordinators
Requirements
* Good knowledge of macro/micro development issues in East/Central and Horn of Africa.
* Knowledge of organizational issues and working practices of NGOs, international funding agencies and government departments.
* Project management experience
* An understanding of the psychology of humans.
* Knowledge about the issues pertaining to livelihoods and issues risking in the targeted area.
* Understanding of civil society responses to address the issues of the disadvantaged in the region and those stricken with famine
* Understanding of policy framework relating to the disadvantaged
* Ability to relate to people, particularly the disadvantaged and famine stricken.
* Ability to withstand high pressure demanding environment
* Good working relations in a multicultural setting
* Willingness to travel across the region at 60%
Education
* University degree in sociology or related those with Masters degree have an advantage
* 5-7yrs of experience in the same field
