Mission of the Department: To help the WWF Kenya office and the WWF Network grow in strength and influence by leading the development of a growth strategy and building the WWF Kenya brand and profile.

Major Functions:
  • Lead the development and ¡mplementation of fundraising and communication strategies and plans for WWF-Kenya
  • Leads the fundraising efforts on behalf of WWF Kenya including planning, managing and ensuring the delivery of an agreed fundraising strategy and budget.
  • Manages and implements a fundraising action plan covering Public Sector Partners (PSPs), foundations, corporate, major donors and High Net-worth Individuals (HNWI). 
  • The Director leads the fundraising team in negotiating and ensuring that contractual obligations are met for prospective and existing donors, including managing donor relationships
  • Builds long term relationships with strategic partners to mobilize resources in line with strategies
  • Works with WWF Network to maximise funding for WWF-Kenya from donors outside of Kenya
  • Proactively manages WWF Kenya’s corporate affairs and communications relating to conservation programs and initiatives.
  • Establishes and manages WWF Kenya’s communication and brand development that supports organisational growth. 

WWF - Kenya Communication Manager Job

Mission of the Department: To ensure strategic promotion of WWF Kenya Brand among different audiences in the country and within the Network in support of the WWF Strategic Plan and Communication Strategy.

Major Functions
  • Ensure that the WWF- Kenya produces and promotes strategic communication on its conservation programmes that are of the very highest quality and relevance to Kenya and to implementation of its Strategic Plan, in line with that of WWF - Regional Office for Africa Communication & Branding Strategy and WWF International overall Communications Strategy.  
  • Ensure that effective and strategic communication strongly supports resource mobilization from diverse partners.
Major duties and Responsibilities
 
Effective Communication for Conservation Impact
  • Works in close partnership with WWF Kenya SMT and programme teams to develop and implement effective internal and external public relations & communications strategies for communicating WWF Kenya conservation initiatives and enhancing corporate image, visibility and brand;
  • Participates in developing, orchestrating and implementing strategic outreach programmes and campaigns to positively shape the thinking and public policy outcomes on conservation issues;
  • Prepares talking points and speeches for top management including Board of Directors;
  • Develops and disseminates IEC materials including print and electronic materials such as, logos, letterheads, newsletters, e-newsletters, banners, brochures; and annual reports to communicate WWF Kenya’s brand and conservation initiatives.

WWF-Kenya Fundraising Manager Job

Major Function: Develop and implement a resource mobilisation strategy to grow income from within Kenya and maximise sources of income from WWF network offices and their external donors

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to grow income from within WWF Kenya based on research and knowledge of the most appropriate sources of income for the region
  • Explore the partnership potential of strategic corporate engagements, working closely with the international corporate partnerships team to ensure corporate alliances are strategic as well as philanthropically aligned
  • Build public sector partnerships with bilateral and multilateral agency offices and other agencies in Kenya, working with the relevant WWF offices who manage the parent relationships
  • Develop and implement a strategy to grow income from major donors, including high net worth individuals and foundations from Kenya.
  • Work closely with WWF network offices to identify potential donors (corporate, individual and foundation) from outside Kenya with an interest in Kenya and Kenya’s conservation programmes.
