The Centre for Research and Technology Development (RESTECH Centre) is a non-profit institution based in Varsity Plaza Kisumu that pulls the technical expertise of Kenyan scholars in order to generate, evaluate, and disseminate solutions to the challenges of technical, social, and economic development in Kenya. The Centre has experienced researchers and development experts with strong background in food security, climate change, policy analysis and formulation, Programme management, training, institutional review, community based service management and organization management advisory.

RESTECH is currently looking for a Communication officer to work with Communications and advocacy department, Programs Team and the Executive Directors Office.

Key Responsibilities
-Promote effective communication with key stakeholders in current projects and with other organizations.
-Design communication systems and strategies to reach key stakeholders and audiences and coordination of communication activities in RESTECH.
-Regular maintenance and updating of RESTECH’s online platforms i.e. website and social media
-Develop a working relationship with mainstream national media outlets. Monitor and track coverage of RESTECH activities in the local media. Arrange for media interviews, press briefing and respond to general media queries on RESTECH activities.
