Head of Accounts job in Laikipia County

A ranch in Laikipia is looking to fill the below position.
 

Head of Accounts / Finance Department

Role 
The head of  Accounts is responsible for the budgeting and control (including capital investment), financial reporting and analysis, cost accounting, accounting services to cost centres, disbursements and payment process.
The Head of Accounts Section will primarily oversee the smooth and efficient operations of the Accounts Department.
The main duties include planning and organizing accounts activities in supporting the goals and objectives of the Company.
Other duties are preparing and managing the budget, supervising and monitoring the budget execution, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting records, and preparing the management and financial reports.
 

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or relevant disciplines,
Qualified accountant and a holder of  ACCA, CPA(K) preffered
Minimum 5 years of working experience in accounting, financial management or related fields, at least 2 of which must be at the supervisory/managerial position, in a reputable institution;
Demonstrated experience in budgeting, accounting, management and financial reporting;
Good interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills;
Experience of working in a multi-cultural setting is preferable;
Broad Knowledge of Accounting packages particularly quickbooks mandatory.
Knowledge of Online bank Payments, transfers and currency conversion.
Must be well versed in Kenyan tax laws.
Should be able to come up with Operations control measures and compile statistical reports on the same
