My client in the steel manufacturing industry is in need of a Human Resources Assistant and the particulars are listed below:
Job Title / Position: Human Resources Assistant
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
Department / Division: Human Resources

Main Purpose of the Job
Responsible for and ensures that the HR activities are implemented to meet Labor laws of Kenya requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation of human resource policies and procedures
- Participate in recruitment, promotions, induction, employee relations activities and exit process
- Participate in disciplinary matters
- Administering employment terms and conditions of service,
- Administering and tracking leave and related issues,
- Ensuring accurate maintenance of personnel records,
- Administration duties
- Assist in the management of Health and Safety, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting
- Ensure proper tracking and reporting for DOSH, Insurance company and Department of Labor are carried out.
- Familiarity with and experience in WIBA and Labour Relations a plus.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the management.
Education and Experience
Academic Qualifications: University degree preferably in Social Sciences
Professional Qualifications: Higher National Diploma in Human Resources Management,
Experience: A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Labor relations experience a plus
Key Competencies: Possesses a demonstrated ability to
communicate with employees; accurately complete all documentation;
attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Special Work Environment
Office and Field.
The salary range for this position is between Ksh.40,000.00 – 50,000.00 per month.
