was originated by KMFRI together with key development and conservation
agencies that developed a project proposal aiming at promoting an
environmentally sustainable management of Kenya’s coastal and marine
resources.
KCDP was declared effective on 30th June 2011 and it is expected to close
down on October 2016.
The development objective of the project is to promote an environmentally
sustainable management of Kenya’s Coastal and marine resources by
strengthening the capacity of existing relevant government agencies and
enhance the capacity of rural micro, small and medium sized enterprises in
selected coastal communities.
The Authority is an agency in the third component. To this end, the Authority
