The Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) – the representative
organization for manufacturing value-add industries in Kenya is seeking to
competitively fill the following position:
Assistant Executive Officer – Marketing
The Officer will report to the Coordinator, Centre for Energy Efficiency and
Conservation (CEEC).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyzing the market of commercial energy consumers so as to ascertain
industries that require assistance in energy management.
- Developing annual marketing and sales plans geared towards
significantly increasing the number of audited industries in line with
strategy and targets and within budget, including strategies and performance
targets.
- Executing marketing strategies and campaigns which would be innovative
for reaching the targeted market so as to increase the number of audited
industries
- Monitoring and arranging the production and distribution of promotional
materials
- Frequently updating the CEEC webpage
- Acting as a liaison between the media and publishers as required
- Developing articles and marketing materials among others.
- Organizing energy efficiency and renewable energy awareness campaigns
and trainings.
- Events planning, organization and execution
- Attend various forums to promote CEEC activities
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Executive
Requirements:
- University degree in marketing, business management from a recognized
institution.
- Minimum 3 years of professional working experience.
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think outside the box and be creative
- Effective organizational skills
- Team player
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrate good knowledge of current business issues and the Kenyan
energy situation.
- An understanding of the manufacturing and service sectors will be an
added advantage.
