opportunity has risen for a highly motivated and enterprising individual to join the organization as a Materials Planner
reporting to Head, Supply & Logistics.
The successful candidate’s principal purpose will be to manage the output of the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP)
and ensure progression of the same for the timely delivery of both raw and packaging materials emanating from both local
and import suppliers.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Progress the output of Materials Requirement Plan (MRP).
Initiate the process of importation for imported materials.
Convert planned orders into purchase orders and follow through for approval as per policy.
Follow through with request for provision of Proforma invoice; initiate the procurement cycle with suppliers and the
application for Import Declaration Form (IDF) with the appropriate parties.
Initiate, generate and follow through the appropriate importation documents.
Provide visibility of orders as per requirements.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure materials meet specifications.
Qualifications & Knowledge:
Degree in Business related Field or Purchasing & Supply.
2 years experience in an FMCG.
High integrity.
Excellent planning, analytical & problem solving skills.
Computer literacy in an integrated environment/system
Experience in handling imports and related logistical procedures.
Excellent communication
Excellent negotiation skills
